This machine features the signature VARIAXIS j design: a rigid, double-column (gantry-type) structure that provides excellent stability and precision. The spindle head is fixed, while the workpiece is held on a tilting rotary table. The table combines continuous 360-degree rotation (typically the C-axis) with a tilting motion (typically the A-axis) of at least ±95 degrees, enabling true 5-axis contouring. This allows the tool to maintain optimal orientation to the workpiece surface, crucial for machining undercuts, deep cavities, sculpted surfaces, and angled features without costly special fixtures or multiple setups.
